Hi Newsletter Friends,

I so appreciate all of your kind emails and letters. I have been teaching quite a lot lately. I taught in Sedona and Montreal this month. Both experiences were just wonderful. I just returned from Montreal on Memorial Day and before that I was in Cincinnati completing the photo shoot for my second book. The shoot went unbelievably well with fourteen completed projects shot step-by-step. I have a superb editor and photographer and had a great experience with both of them when I was at the photo shoot. I loved the slides of the work that I saw before I left Cincinnati for Montreal. They are very colorful and beautifully clear. I think that you will love the new book. It will be out in August 2003. The tentative title is: "Creative Stamping with Mixed Media Techniques". The book will cover twenty ways to create backgrounds for your work in a step-by-step format as well as the projects. Many of you are curious about how the layers of my work evolve. I think that this book will solve the problem for you.

My first book, "Creating With Paint, New Ways, New Materials" is in its second printing. It also won a book award from the Western Booksellers. Thank you so much for supporting that book. I appreciate it more than you can know.

I have a NEW project on the website. It is painting a purse step-by-step (See, "What's New" below). It was a lot of fun to do. I just painted a purse in Montreal as well and loved every second of it. I will try to post that purse and others to my website soon. When you start looking at inexpensive purses to paint, you will be amazed at all of the possibilities.

I have met so many of you in my classes and hope to meet many more of you in the coming months. Please check my teaching schedule to see if there is a class near you. I add new classes all of the time, so you can never tell when I will be teaching near you.

By the way, our Webmaster, Mike, has done a wonderful job of putting the Travel Paint Studio on our website. Just scroll down the Home page to view a photo of me with the Travel Paint Studio. Click on my photograph and you will bring up a full color shot of the paint, etc. We have shipped many studios and everyone loves them in the classes that I teach.

I have a two products to share with you. As many of you know, I have six rollagraphs that are being manufactured by Clearsnap. Joel and I do not stock the rollagraphs ourselves, but you can purchase them by calling the Craft Connection at (203) 338-9695. The Craft Connection is located in Westport, Connecticut. They also stock all of the Crafter's Pick Adhesives. I am really in love with "The Ultimate" Glue. It seems to glue all difficult surfaces together. I recently glued a heavy ceramic tile to wood and shrink plastic pieces together using "The Ultimate" glue. Call the Craft Connection for further information about rollagraphs, glues and other products that they distribute.

3===============[ Creative Tip ]===================

Here is a great tip to share with all of you. If you purchase the inexpensive battery operated Crest Toothbrush ($4.97 at Wal Mart, including an extra brush), you can use it to clean your rubber stamps, make great faux marbled paper by squeezing Textile Paint from the Travel Studio on paper, and use it to clean your hands after getting them dirty painting. I also use the toothbrush for great toothbrush spatter.
